World Book Day Extravaganza Takes Over School!
This year, our Academy celebrated World Book Day, 2024 like never before with a fantastic carousel of activities. On this special occasion, the regular school timetable took a back seat, and we dived into a whirlwind of literary-inspired fun.

Dress-Up Delight
Students and staff alike were encouraged to don their most creative costumes as part of our World Book Day Dress-Up extravaganza. The Academy transformed into a vibrant sea of characters, bringing books to life for all.
Off-Timetable Adventures
For the day, all pupils were off the regular timetable, opening the door to a world of exciting activities. English classes kicked off with a bookish twist as students redesigned their favourite book covers.
In the realm of mathematics, the Number Devil takes centre stage, guiding students through challenges that promise to make numbers more engaging than ever.
For the budding chefs amongst us, the Food Tech carousel invites students to whip up delicious treats inspired by their favourite books.
New Menu for the Day
To add a touch of magic to the day, the school cafeteria served up a changed menu.
World Book Day Tokens
To add to the excitement, World Book Day tokens were given to all, offering students £1 off the RRP of books for sale at participating stores, or a free book from this year's World Book Day selection.
