    We are lucky to have a Mental Health Support Team that regularly visit our site. Michelle Gorrod and Emma Stringer kindly collated the information below for you. 

    "We are part of the Fenland Mental Health Support Team. The team is made up of different clinical staff who are trained in mental health. 

    We provide early mental health support for children and young people within schools. We also work with parents and teachers to help them support children and young people's mental health.

    World Book Day Extravaganza Takes Over School!

    This year, our Academy celebrated World Book Day, 2024 like never before with a fantastic carousel of activities. On this special occasion, the regular school timetable took a back seat, and we dived into a whirlwind of literary-inspired fun.

    "Riverside Meadows Academy – Wisbech Green geared up for an exciting atmosphere filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of reading for our first World Book Day at our new site, Barton Road."

  • Christmas 2023 at Riverside Meadows - Wisbech Green

    Christmas at Wisbech Green was a stylish affair this year! 

    It's hard not to be overawed by our new school building, especially when it can fit a Christmas tree of such enormous proportions in the school hall. 

    Christmas Dinner was dished up by Mr. Carey today, and our students ate at tables laden with crackers and wearing their paper hats. Staff wore their most festive jumpers and a feeling of goodwill was felt throughout the school.

  • Exploring the World of Hair and Beauty: A Vocational Visit to Ely College

    In September 2023, students from Riverside Meadows Academy - Wisbech Green embarked on an inspirational vocational visit to Ely College, delving into the hair and beauty industry. Under the guidance of Assistant Head Teacher Shari Welsford, the visit aimed to provide a glimpse into what a career in this industry could look like and discuss the transition from Key Stage 4 (KS4) to Key Stage 5 (KS5), particularly focusing on their next steps - life after Wisbech Green.

  • Equine Therapy at Wisbech Green

    Tuesday 27th September, 2023 saw a small group of our pupils head out to Fenland Equestrian Centre for their weekly Equine Therapy Session. 

    Sat aboard three of the riding school's well-behaved charges, our pupils continue to learn the basic principles of horse riding such as mounting, dismounting and a safe seat. Their excitement was unparalleled and nerves were soon settled as they continue to bond with their equestrian partners.

  • Riverside Meadows - Wisbech Green Opens Its Doors

    Horizons Education Trust announce the opening of Riverside Meadows – Wisbech Green, Barton Road, Wisbech as a new SEMH special school for up to 60 pupils as part of the family of special schools with Cambridgeshire County Council. Our Head Teacher, Chris Carey welcomed students and their parents and guardians into the school and this was a positive experience as students move into a brand-new building.
